The mission of the Pujols Kitchen is to reduce hunger one family at a time and create stronger, healthier communities by providing families with the tools and knowledge they need to create meals that nourish their bodies and spirits.
Every time Albert and I visit his home country, the Dominican Republic, we have such a great humility about being there. I’m especially moved by my many encounters with the women of the Dominican. There’s a great personal satisfaction in knowing that I can give something back to these remarkable women.
Albert and I realize, and count as one of the greatest blessings of our lives, that he was handpicked by God from a small third-world island to be a catalyst for change in the lives of so many people. You can see how much his message of hope and encouragement means in the faces of those he encounters when he returns home.
Through the Pujols Kitchen and our work with the Pujols Family Foundation, we hope to bring about an improvement in the quality of life for the women of the Dominican and others like them around the globe.
I want to give back to the women who have given me so much affection and inspiration through our shared love of cooking. Their generosity, not only with me, but in giving what they can, in the way of meals or simply their time, to others who may be equally less fortunate, is an extraordinary example for all of us.
