Arepa, similar to a bread pudding, is made with corn meal and can be enjoyed as a dessert or as a special treat anytime of the day...



Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.


Mix the bananas and milk in a blender. Add to a medium-sized pot over medium heat.


Continue stirring and add the coconut milk, butter, cinnamon sticks, vanilla, sugar, and raisins and bring to a boil.


Slowly stir in the corn meal. Constantly stirring, cook over medium heat on the stove top for about 20 minutes.


Butter the bottom of a Pujols Kitchen Glass Casserole Dish, and pour corn mixture in the pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes.


Let the Arepa cool for about an hour. Slice and eat.




2 bananas


½ gallon of milk


1 can (15 ounces) of coconut milk


¼ cup of butter


2 cinnamon sticks


1 tablespoon of vanilla


2 cups of sugar


½ cup of golden raisins


1 bag of superfine yellow corn meal
