Delicious Flan

Thanks to our good friends The Cruz Family, we enjoyed the greatest Flan! This recipe is truly the best!

Preheat oven to 300⁰ F.

In the Pujols Kitchen Small Caldero add 3 cups of sugar and 2 or 3 tablespoons of water (water helps the sugar from burning). Bring the sugar to a boil, and do not disturb until it bubbles and turns a golden brown. Then pour the liquid sugar into the loaf pan. Set aside.

In a blender add the evaporated milk, the condensed milk, six eggs, 4 ounces of cream cheese, and a ½ cup of regular milk, then blend. Once the mix is well blended, pour the mixture over the sugar inside the loaf pan.

Then, take another pan larger than the loaf pan, add water, take the loaf pan and submerge into a water bath; we call this (bano de maria). The water should cover three quarters of the loaf pan. Put into the oven and cook for 2 hours. The top of the flan should be golden brown when finished. Let the Flan cool in the pan for an hour, and use a platter to help turn the flan upside down. Serve. Enjoy.
