Seems few of us really know how long we should keep food in our freezers. Here are some general guidelines.
Meat, Poultry, and Seafood
- Bacon: 1 month
- Lunch meat (pre-packaged): 1-2 months
- Sausage: 1-2 months
- Chicken Nuggets/Patties: 1-3 months
- Ground Beef: 3-4 months
- Steak: 4-12 months
- Pork: 4-12 months
- Raw Fish: 6 months
- Chicken: 9 months
- Shrimp/Shellfish: 12-18 months
