Fresh Strawberry Bread

Fresh Strawberry Bread is very simple to prepare. The texture is similar to the Bread Pudding, and is great topped with fresh strawberries and honey.

Preheat oven to 350⁰ F.

Grease a Pujols Kitchen Glass Casserole Dish. Set aside.

In a large bowl combine the flour, sugar, walnuts, baking powder, and salt.

Using a blender, blend 1 cup of strawberries; in a small bowl beat the egg, then add the milk, butter, blended strawberries, vanilla, and lemon peel.

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until moistened; fold in chopped strawberries (reserving some for sprinkling on top).

Pour into a greased Pujols Kitchen Glass Casserole Dish.

Sprinkle the top with remaining chopped strawberries and crushed granola.

Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick (insert near the center) comes out clean.

Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the glass dish to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with honey to serve.
