PLANTAIN

Plantain Fritters

(also known as Fried Malanga or Taro Root)

 

Instructions

Heat oil in a Large Pujols Kitchen Sauté Pan for

10 to 12 minutes.

 

Shred the plantain with a grater.

 

Then form/roll the shredded plantain into the shape of a

ball with the palms of your hands.

 

Drop the plantain balls (4 to 5 at a time) into oil.

 

Fry until golden brown. Drain the cooked plantain over a paper towel.

 

Sprinkle with salt and pepper, then serve.

 

Ingredients

 

2 to 3 green plantains

 

½ cup of oil for frying

 

Salt and pepper to taste
