This is one of the first things I learned to make. This marinade is one of the
must-haves in Dominican cooking. There are many versions sold in the market, but fresh ingredients are the best. Sazon keeps well in the refrigerator for several months. Larger batches keep for up to a year in the freezer. Many of my recipes will call for sazon.
Rough chop the ingredients and put everything in the blender or food processor until it is blended well.
Store in an airtight container or glass jar.
Ingredients (for bulk)
1 whole onion, whatever kind you prefer
2 whole green bell peppers
1 whole red bell pepper
½ cilantro stalk
1 whole garlic head
1 tablespoon of dried oregano
¾ cup of white distilled vinegar
