Veterans Day Camouflage Cupcakes

Veterans Day is a day we should take time to reflect and pay homage to the sacrifices made on our behalf. These selfless men and women who put their lives on the line for us may never be truly repaid. Take the time to thank a Veteran today, and if you are motivated, here is a fun recipe to make in honor of each and every Veteran. Deliver with LOVE.

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

 

In a large bowl add the softened butter, eggs, cake mix, water, and vanilla pudding powder.

 

Add the almond extract and separate batter into 4 bowls.

 

To make the color brown, use all 4 food colors, make one dark green, another one light green, and leave one natural batter color.

 

Using a teaspoon, fill prepared cupcake tins lined with paper until about 2/3 full with alternating batter colors.

 

Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until cupcakes are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

 

Allow cupcakes to cool completely before decorating…

 

Topping

In a mixer, combine the vanilla pudding powder and milk until smooth and you see no lumps.

 

Fold in the vanilla extract and whipped topping until combined.

 

Using a piping bag, on the inside paint one blue line and one red line on each side of the bag. Fill with whipped topping and decorate your cupcakes.

 

Ingredients

 

Batter:

 

1 stick of unsalted butter

 

4 eggs

 

1 box of Betty Crocker white cake mix

 

1 cup of water

 

2 boxes of instant vanilla pudding, dry

 

1 tablespoon of almond extract

 

Food coloring, red, green, yellow, and blue

 

Topping:

 

1 box of instant vanilla pudding mix, dry

 

1 cup of milk

 

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

 

1 (8 ounce) container of frozen whipped topping
